Walid Khalaf is a modern impressionist who works primarily with oil paint. His art is an expression of his evolving imagination, executed without the aid of modern technology. He works in a traditional manner but with a decidedly modern take on Impressionism.
The intent is to create timeless images that, hopefully, will be treasured by generations to come.
Attention to detail and painstakingly careful layering of pigments results in a three dimensional effect and intensified the colors. Yes, it is time consuming but he believes that the end result is well worth the effort.
